Dr Tharesh Iddagoda graduated from university of Colombo in Srilanka 2003. He has worked in Srilanka for 3 years after completion of his internship period in different locations of the country.
He and his family moved to Australia in 2006 and he was employed by Penninsula Health. He has practised in Frankston, Rosebud Hospital and other locations on the Mornington Pennisula for over 3 years before entering General Practice. In 2012 Dr Iddagoda was awarded his Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners.
Whilst working in Frankston emergency, he gained valuable experience in paediatircs, obstetrics /gynecology and orthopaedics. For the last 3 years, Dr Iddagoda has been working in the Albury – Wodonga region as a General Practitioner. During this time, he worked extensively with skin cancer and he developed his clinical interest in skin disease. He completed his certificate in primary skin cancer surgery and advanced skin cancer training with the University of Queensland and gained professional qualifications in this area. He has also completed training in Sexual & reproductive health with Family Planning Victoria.
Dr Tharesh also is fluent in Singhalese.
His special interest are Dermatology and Paediatrics.
He is a keen fan of Cricket , Rugby and timeout at the gym. He also enjoys travelling with his family.
