Getting Started

Medicare

With a Mental Health Care Plan Medicare rebates are available. For a 1 Hour appointment you will need to pay the full fee of $134.80. You will then be able to claim back $84.80 from Medicare. Leaving you $50 out of pocket.

Most of the time, we can process Medicare rebates on the spot and transfer the funds directly into your bank account. To do this, you will need to make sure that you have registered your bank details with Medicare. For more information on how to do this, visit the Medicare page on the Department of Human Services website, or visit your closest Medicare office.

A Medicare referral from your Doctor entitles you to claim the Medicare rebate for up to 10 sessions of psychological treatment within 12 months from the date of your referral. You must obtain this referral from your Doctor before your initial consultation with your psychologist.

After 6 sessions you must be reviewed by your Doctor who can then provide you access for the further 4 sessions.

Bookings and Cancellation Policy

A SMS reminder is sent a day prior to the booking.
If for some reason you need to cancel or postpone your appointment we prefer 48 hours notice, however a minimum of 24 hours prior to appointment time is required.

How many sessions will I need?

The duration of Psychology visits is difficult to be determined as this depends on the issues a person is dealing with and the rate of their progress, Some clients resolve their issues in a small number of sessions and other clients prefer to work on their emotional development on a long-term basis.
