Dr Tharesh Iddagoda graduated from the University of Colombo in Srilanka in 2003. He worked in Srilanka for 3 years after the completion of his internship period in ivarious locations of the country.
Dr Tharesh migrated to Australia in 2006 with his wife. When he commenced working as a GP in Australia he was employed by Peninsula Health working in both Frankston & Rosebud Hospital’s for over 3 years. Whilst working in the various Emergency Departments he gained valuable experience in paediatircs, obstetrics /gynecology and orthopaedics
Dr Iddagoda entered into General Practice in the Albury – Wodonga region & consulted patients there for 3 years.
In 2012 Dr Iddagoda was awarded his Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and commenced working at Ballarto Medical Centre.
He has obtained numerous skin cancer qualifications from the University of Queensland & has a keen interest in skin disease. His other areas of special interest include: sexual health, reproductive health and family planning.
Dr Tharesh also is fluent in Singhalese.
He is a keen Cricket fan, enjoys watching Rugby and spending timeout at the gym. He also enjoys traveling with his family.
