Pink Ribbon Day
Each year over 13,500 Australian women are diagnosed with breast cancer.
It’s one of the most common cancers. Survival rates are growing due to earlier detection and better treatment but we still have a long way to go.
This is why Australians come together on Cancer Council’s Pink Ribbon Day to show their support for the one in eight women who will be diagnosed with breast cancer by the age of 85.
By participating in Cancer Council’s Pink Ribbon Day, the public can help us provide support services to improve the quality of life for those affected by breast cancer, along with research into potential new treatments and prevention measures.
We will be selling Pink Ribbon Merchandise at the reception desk, and also participating in a hosting a Pink Ribbon fundraiser on Friday the 26th of October. Staff will dress in pink to raise awareness, and to donate all the funds raised.
