Dr Uma Barua

Dr. Uma Barua graduated from medical school in Bangladesh and began her medical career in Australia, where she has gained valuable experience working at Bendigo Health and Monash Health.

Since 2022, she has been practicing in general practice, developing broad clinical expertise across a wide range of patient care.

Dr Uma enjoys all aspects of general practice and has particular interest in chronic disease management, women’s health, children’s health, dermatology and geriatrics. She is known her for her compassionate approach and commitment to delivering patient-centered care.

Fluent in both English and Bengali, Dr uma values cultural diversity and aims to create a welcoming environment for patients from all backgrounds.

Outside of work, she enjoys playing badminton and chess, reading, and spending quality time with her family.
